You could do that, and it will work fine.

But you could also do it all in one determinator :-)

There is an action called "Suspend".
This will cause the determinator to stop processing it's actions either
until a certain time, or for a certain number of minutes (randomisation
is also supported here).

So, your determinator could be something like:

1. Turn on lights
2. Suspend for 30 minutes.
3. Turn off lights.

Only 1 determinator and 1 event needed!

This isn't quite as flexible as having two events, e.g. your "Turn off
lights" event could have some further conditions in it,
Which you can't do if you have it all in one determinator.
