xPLMediaNet - CD's and DVD's

Hi all,

Looking at some new modules (development is a while off, but want to get
some thoughts) for controlling CD/DVD multi-changers

I see it as 2 source modules (media types C & D) that catalogue the
cd's
(and tracks) and DVD's (with info) from text files?

Also, I think 2 client modules CD and DVD. These modules will allow CD and
DVD changers to be controlled via xPLMediaNet Interfaces like the web
interface and xPL. These modules will use (user-defined) xPL IR messages to
allow the actual control of the devices via an IR xPL device, with the
option of plugging in hardware specific helpers (for those devices with
serial control or the like)

As a side effect the audio output of the changers could also be directed to
a pc sound card for piping of the tracks to network mp3 players (via
MediaCast and Shoutcast)?

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions please?
