Me too!

Frank should be along later (he's in Oz, so probably asleep just now) -
he's done a bunch of xPL PIC code for lightweight stuff.

We have used a simple <STX>message<ETX> wrapper till now - but
this
obviously has it's limits - what's LRC-8?
