I've not seen this problem recently, so it certainly seems to be fixed for
me.

You could try downloading the latest xPL C-Gate from:
http://www.xpl.myby.co.uk/downloads/xplcgate/xplcgate.zip

Stop the xPL C-Gate service, and copy the xplcgate.exe file from the zip
file to C:\Program Files\xPL\xPL C-gate, then restart the service.

Note that this version no longer writes to the log file in c:\ (it was
getting too big, and was really only there for debugging!)
