Based on John B's comment it looks like the best way to do this at the
moment is to use the script method.

So the check list is as follows:

1) Set up allow contnue after first match flag in the properties
2) Set up a rules with subs = CF this should be set to contnue after match
so should appear as a green arrow in the rules display
3) Make sure the new rule is at the top of the rules list so it get tested
first
4) Save the script into a new script (right click on scripts and select
new). Doesn't matter what you call the script or in which part of scripts
you put in but I would suggest you put it in the user sub folder. The
script should be exactly as it appears on the website.
5) Now right click on the scripts in xpl manager and select reload scripts.
6) Set up a table in the database that XQL points at called temperature
with fields as follows:

dateadded DATETIME
name varchar(50) or string
temperature float

7) Now watch it the monitor program in xpl manager for a sensor.basic
message that has type=TEMP you should see

a) The sensor.basic message
b) A DB.XQL message being issued by xplhal
c) A confirmation message back from XQL to say it's saved it.

One thing to note is that my XQL is called TONYT-XQL.MASTER so if your
instance is different you will need to change this in the script.

Hope this helps.

S.
