Hi all,
Thanks to John B the next release of xPLRioNet will have changes to allow
any shoutcast url to be used (not just ip:port).
To cater for this the format of streams.xml will be changed so that instead
of title, url, port for each stream it will simply be title, url (where
url=
something like http://my.domain.net:4000/stream/1020,
but
123.123.123.123:8080 is still also valid). A new sample streams.xml will be
included in the update package.
Also, xplrionet now masqurades as a winamp client which solves other
connection issues where the shoutcast server saw the request as coming from
a browser rather than a streaming client and replied with a web page rather
than the stream. Again thanks to John B for pointing this out.
The stream current track title is also picked up, where it exists, and is
displayed on the web page (and device displays when i can test the
necessary
mod). This might also get broadcast as an xpl message.
Not sure when the release will be made since it needs some further testing
and completing.
Regards
Tony
