Not really sure what i2c is, philips website left me not much the wiser.
The slimp3 uses an i2c to control all the hardware functions (like displa=
y,
decoder, volume etc)
So even to set left hand volume you have to specify a bank, a command, a
volume level in a very specific format for the udp packet (this format is
probably slimp3 specific as the i2c commands on the squeeze box seem quit=
e a
bit different).
As the squeezebox is different (and it uses a comination of udp/tcp, rath=
er
than just udp like the slimp3) this means the mods (when working) will on=
ly
support slimp3 not squeezebox. xPLRioNet won't support squeezebox until I
can get my hands on one...=20
I've started reverse engineering the commands, it'll just take a bit long=
er
than I thought.
