Hi Frank,

Shoutcast is an internet thing, in fact some of the stations I have been
listening to seem to be japanese. You can pick up any shoutcast from
anywhere.

Local shoutcast means setting up a shoutcast server on your own network.
All
the software is free (winamp 2.9, cannot use 3 or 5 - there isn't a 4,
winamp dsp plugin - this broadcasts whatever winamp is playing or what is
coming in on the sound card, the shoutcast server itself).

Yes, xplrionet will play shoutcasts thru the exstreamer :-)

Just load up the latest version of xplrionet, do a 'scan now' to load the
default shoutcasts, then choose a shoutcast station from the web interface.
This all assumes your network configuration allows xplrionet to access the
internet - which hopefully it will.

Regards
Tony
