The only thing you need to be aware of if you are running multiple copies
of
xPLHal on different computers is that only one of them should be set up as
a
configuration manager.

You can check this by right-clicking on the server name in xPLHal Manager
and
selecting Properties - see if the "Enable configuration manager"
checkbox is
selected.

The reason for this is that when a new xPL device comes up, both copies of
xPLHal would try and configure it, with some potentially strange results -
a bit
like having multiple DHCP servers on the same network both handing out IPs.

But other than that, there should be no problem running more than one
xPLHal -
in fact I do it all the time during development/testing.
