Hello Folks

> is it allowable to have the \n in caps ???

I'll change my code to accept \n or \N, if that's ok with everyone?

> alert message ???(flashing the message)

I've think I've missed some posts on this, I can't find reference to it
in the OSD.BASIC or OSD.TIVO.
Is it just a new command - command=ALERT with all the other normal rules
applying?
Flashing the text is easy, just not sure about how it's used via xPL.

>Are you going to implement column position...

Again, won't be a problem, I just need to clarify some display rules.
For example:

Command=write
Column=10
Row=1
Text=This is a test\nThis is another test.

Do I a) Ignore everything after the new line '\n' because Column has
been Specified?
b) Start the second line of text at Row=2, Column=1, so the
Column=10 parameter only applies to the first line?
c) Default all new lines to start at Column=10? Basically
setting a margin for that message messages.
d) Another way I haven't thought of!

I'm happy whichever way, as it makes little difference in coding
required.

Thoughts / Comments?

Peter

Hi Peter
Nice work .....Really taking shape.....;-)) Got it setup
like my
pic tvosd 11 rows by 28 columns......

Just one point which i might have the wrong end of the stick.....for a
newline char \n is it allowable to have the n in caps ??? In my pic
tvosd i
test for both if necessary....It appears that your pc osd looks for
lower
case only..???as i said maybe i have got it wrong....

Are you going to implement column position, alert message ???(flashing
the
message)

Great Work
Frank
