Hi,

I would very interested on information on integrating 1 wire temperature
sensor
data into your xpl software.

During the last year I have been developing a Solution of Solar assisted
heating
using thermal storage (PCM). To make the price of the system to be
competitive
with Central heating, I having been looking at the possibility of reducing
the
number of individual controllers and thermostats that controls the system.

The aim is to install 1 wire temperature sensors, interior and exterior,
throughout the building.

Two different control systems are envisaged:

1. Standalone programmable Controller controlling the Solar input and water
flows through the individual zones (rooms), whilst monitoring temperatures
interior (zones) and exterior. User with Computer/Network but Intermittent
Computer use
2. Web page mounted monitoring Controller, user friendly, using software on
a
local Server, relay boards and inputs from temperature interior and
exterior
sensors. User has Server/Network/IP Gateway that consistently, 24 hrs a
day,
monitors the house.

I have been researching all the links from this board and the ukha-d board
for a
long time, so I have a good insight in what options are available.

There are so many options available that is difficult to choose, knowing
the end
choice will require a significant development time to integrate it into a
user
friendly solution.

I would appreciate any advice on suitable hardware and suitable software
for
both options.

Thank you

Regards
Neil

Not yet, I've been spending a good deal of time getting all the jobs around
the house up to date. The aim being to clear some quality time the back
end of February to really getting down to some coding work.

FM > .......I wonder how many xplers have 1 wire hubs ???

Well there is you and me so that's more than enough for me.

FM >> likewise i will be sending a pic osd to Steve C very soon .....

Yeh that's right, I'll let you have a picture of it in action if you like.
:-P I might even set up a bridge to allow you to display a message on it
if you like from your house.

S.
