Hi all,

I have just posted a new article to the HowTo section of
www.xplproject.org.uk:
<a href="http://www.xplproject.org.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=listarticles&secid=3";>http://www.xplproject.org.uk/modules.php?op=modload&amp;name=Sections&amp;file=index&amp;req\
=listarticles&amp;secid=3</a>

It shows you how to create a basic answering machine by using Tony's
xPLPhone
application, in combination with xPLHal and a suitable voice modem - any
voice
modem that has Windows drivers should work.

The issues I had with the early versions of xPLPhone seem all to have been
resolved, and it's been running fine for over two weeks now.

If I get chance, I may write a part 2 article that turns the answer machine
into
something more advanced.
The great thing about xPLPhone is you can create menu systems that allow
you to
control anything in your home that has xPL support.
There are quite a few sample scripts as part of the xPLPhone download, but
the
HowTo article doesn't require any scripting at all - it uses nothing but
the
Determinator Wizard.

Regards,

John
