What would be good is if either you could allocated IP address by MAC
number or that on initial bootup the Rio reported it's MAC number (or part
of it) rather than the IP number.

I have once been in the situation where one rio boots up with the IP
address that one of the others once used and hence xplhal gives it the
wrong configuration.
