thanks for the reply. i would be happy if the only mod the next
version had was a fix for the stuttering/slowdown problem. let me
describe that in more details:

i have a playlist with about 50 songs. every time my toddler takes a
nap or goes to bed @ night, i press a button that issues xpl commands
to the rio in his room. the xpl commands are:
extended = power on
command = clear
extended = playlist 1
command = play

then some time later i send xpl commands to turn it off
command = stop
command = clear
extended = power off

over the course of 8-10 cycles of this, the whole rio interface slows
down as if something is sucking up all it's cpu or memory. menus are
really slow, music stutters, etc.
