All that's needed is to stop the service, copy new files in, and restart
service.

What went wrong? Any error messages?

That was a mistake (unless install failed), did you backup your existing
folder and un-install existing first (must stop service)?

Could be in a right mess now :-(

Make sure you have a copy of everything first (might be too late though).
Otherwise you'll have to recreate all your scripts/determinators etc

Don't delete the current install folder until you have stopped xplhal and
then done a proper uninstall.
