Strange I'll try it at home on the normal debug mode and see what happens.

Can you expand the app window (you should be able to just grab the corner
and drag it open) to display the DDE window and see if you are getting any
INPUTUPDATE: or OUTPUTUPDATE type messages coming through the DDE link.
