Hi Ian
I didnt extract the zipped files when i first downloaded the
xplhal...Just extracted the files now and xplhal installed OK..... You
mentioned about downloading Tonys devcom file..does it matter where its
located
?? and do i ahve to write a script to send an xpl message out via the
serial
port...I want to use the serial port so i can test my hardware.....

Found the problem Frank, your install is (for whatever reason) missing a
file.

That's the scripting engine for Windows, and should resolve the issue.

I'm actually surprised that anything would install properly, as (if I
understand it correctly) installshield actually uses the script engine to
do
it's thing...
