Electronics Challenge!

Hi all,

Here's a challenge for any electronics guru's on the list....

I need a device that will allow me to run rs232 devices over cat5.
Not serially but via tcpip :-)

The cheapest I've seen so far is about 130 quid each, way too expensive for
the number I'll probably end up needing.

Minimum requirements for the device is tcpip (10 or 10/100) and rs232 upto
115kb.

Though if the design is based around a circuit that would allow onboard xpl
intelligence so much the better (depends on the price difference I guess).

My first thoughts are maybe a pic device?

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Tony
