Hi all,

Just a quick post to keep you up-to-date on current development work.

We now have,

A VB6 xPL ActiveX dll (to compliment John's excellent .net control), which
supports the full functionality of the xPL protocol.

I'll be using this in a rewrite of all my current VB6 applications, and it
will be made available for download to anyone wishing to use it to add xPL
functionality to their software (including any commercial sofware
developers
who may be interested, royalty free as per the xPL protocol). A simple
monitor application can be written in about 4 lines of code, and yet still
support remote configuration etc.

I've rewritten my Dev and DevCOM frameworks to use the new dll, which will
also be available for download.

A Linux xPL Hub :-)

A Linux xPL Development framework (which also works under cygwin, much to
my
surprise).
(a version with built-in serial port support is also on the drawing board)

Again these will be made available for download.

They will not be officially released until we have received our own udp
port. But this will give us time to fully test them.

If anyone wants to get a head start, I'm happy to make the current versions
available for development.

There's also a standalone configuration manager in testing, for xpl users
who won't be running xplhal.

Regards
Tony
