HTTP Get question

Was wondering if anyone could shed any light on the following, please?
From my asp dll I'm sending an http get command to retrieve track
information from the rio server.
This works fine from jrec, but I get 404 not found trying it with the
original server software.
When I send the same url/options from a browser though, it works fine.
The get command I'm sending is identical to that sent by a rio, and the rio
works fine with both servers.
Is there something obvious I should be looking at/for, please?
(server address and port are definetely correct though)
The new web interface is working fine with jrec, it's not pretty, but it's
fully functional.
And it works fine in pocketpc 2002 too.
Just need to get it working with the original software. It should of just
worked though :-(
