Rio Web and beyond

Hi all,

Thanks to a lot of work by John B this morning the Rio web is coming along
nicely.

Im going out now, but wanted to throw this idea to the group.

Would it be feasible to take one of the via mini-tx motherboards (the
silent
one with everything on board) and get it to boot off of the same nfs
partition as the rio's (a different set of software of course)?

With xpl control, there's no need for fancy display's or control either.

Also, even further along the line, it could stream video and do lots of
other cool things.

As far as I see we need:
Mobo
Dc case (so it's all silent)
Some memory
A version of Rioplay xPL for intel based chip

Perhaps a pci (or something) amplifier for direct connection of speakers
where needed.

Or am I being too simplistic/hopeful?

Thoughts?

Thanks
Tony
