Web xpl question

Hi all,

Currently my web based xpl stuff works by the hyperlinks loading a page in
a
hidden frame (2 pixels wide, no borders etc) that then executes the
appropriate asp script for the xpl function to be run.

Obviously this limits implementation of my xpl web stuff to websites that
can be configured in the same way.

The question is, is there a better way of doing this?

I'm thinking along the lines of a hidden popup or something?

Any suggestions, please?
