Hi Tony,

AFAIK sending is fine with the Winsock control, as you can just make a
synchronous call to SendData, but as you say,
receiving is where things get interesting :-)

Feel free to mail me the code - be glad to help if I can.

Regards,

John

Hi John,

I am currently using the winsock control, as I've not had any problems with
a dll i wrote for sending xpl messages. Though this is of course different
to receiving (and the sent packets are very small).

However, I take your point, and last night actually did create a new
version
of the dll making winsock calls, but it was causing problems I havent had
time to sort as yet. Hopefully will get time tomorrow.

I could e-mail you the current code, if you don't mind, please?
I'd be very interested in your opinion, as long as you don't laugh too
much!

The code does work fine, until large packets are received at which point it
hangs.

Many thanks
Tony
