Hi Tony,
On Debian Woody and Slackware 9.1, it still doesn't actually seem to
listen unless you compile with "inSocket.sin_addr.s_addr =
htonl(INADDR_ANY);" instead of "INADDR_BROADCAST". I'm not
utterly
convinced that INADDR_BROADCAST works with UDP (the documentation for
the 2.4 kernel seems to suggest that it doesn't).

What distro, kernel, gcc etc. are you using to build xplhub? Perhaps
it's something that's been changed in newer libc?
