Device sends config.basic (I'm alive waiting config)

Xplhal sends config.list (what options do you support)

Device sends config.list (these are the options I support) - becomes vendor
cache file

Xplhal sends config.current (what are the current values of the options)

Device sends config.current (these are the values of the options) - becomes
current settings file

If xplhal has a config ready for the device it also does the following,
Xplhal sends config.response (use these settings)
Xplhal sends config.current (confirm the settings you are using)
(i.e. device might not accept a value, so we now know what wasn't accepted)

All the messages from xplhal will be sent in sequence, it doesn't wait for
a
response before sending the next

Hope that explains it

Regards
Tony
