Hi Tony
It looks like im opening an old version of devcom...If i double click on
what i believe is the latest it doesnt open...similiar to the problem i had
a
while back when it opened briefly and closed again....although this time
not
opening...The one im trying to open is dated 12/12...48k in size

Can you check the date/version please. In case you got a cached old version
from somewhere.

Nope, this is just used to install the various controls needed by xpl.ocx.
You must already have these or you wouldn't be able to do anything.

If youre sending manual config messages then xplhal doesn't matter, though
if you use xplhal you should use the latest version.

That will display anything as long as packet is valid.

The only other things that will stop the message are
A) invalid message structure
B) invalid source (i.e. not in format vendor-device.instance, or too many
characters)
C) invalid target (i.e. not * or as 'B' )
D) invalid schema (i.e. not in format class.type, or too many characters)
E) xpldevcom has not been configured (so it's still sending config.app)
F) You have filters setup in xpldevcom (rather than the default
*.*.*.*.*.*)

A thru E can't be happening, as other messages are passing thru

So have you setup filters in xpldevcom?
