This comes up repeatedly.

There's a set of .ocx files (eg, ntsvc.ocx) that are not part of a standard
Windows installation but that seem to be assumed to be present by VB6
developers (presumably cos they're installed as part of their development
environment). No offence James but I have a terrible time trying out many
of
your apps because of this and often give up. The exact same error happened
to me today trying out xAP Speech. VB6 developers need to link to some
kind
of VB6 runtime redistributable that contains a common set of ocx's (I don't
know if such a thing exists) or you need to make sure that all the required
dependencies are in your installers.

Every failed install is a potentially lost xAP customer.

Hi,

I've put a copy at http://www.mi4.biz/files/testing/ntsvc.ocx
. For info it
is a standard MS library for running apps as services.

also

there is

http://www.mi4.biz/files/blue/xapbluewidcommdll.zip

if you are using a widcomm based radio ( put it in system32). You only
need
this if your radio doesn't get detected

I am getting the following error trying to run Blue.exe on my Windows Vista

Component "ntsvc.ocx" or one of it's dependencies not correctly

file not found or is invalid.

I googled ntsvc.ocx and found various unhelpful information.
I have Visual Studio 2008.

Any help would be appreciated.
