Quite a lot of xAPplications are "duplicated". The wheel has been
re-invented in many places and doing so serves a VERY useful purpose -
learning. Adding xAP support to an existing application felt far more
manageable a proposition to me than building something new from scratch.

Obviously, I'd hope that in the process you so fall in love with xAP
that you then turn your hand to some "original" applications :-)
