RE: X10 xAP Framework plugin

The schema syntax for addressing multiple devices is covered by the schema
extension that the connector supports. The syntax is a comma separated list
of device addresses (eg, A13, B2, B5). Each address has both the house and
unit codes. The connector sorts the list, groups devices on the same house
code together, addresses them and then sends the command. Devices on on
separate house codes will be treated in alphabetical order.

Looking forward...
The forthcoming version of the X10 connector will support the xAP Basic
Status and Control (BSC) schema in addition to the X10 schema. BSC provides
a superior interface to an X10 network since the connector hides the
details
of X10 addressing from the xAP network. X10 devices are mapped to named xAP
addresses. The connector preferences allows you to set up an address map
for
the X10 and xAP networks - eg, X10 address B8 is a lighting dimmer with the
xAP address Lounge.Lamps.RightRear. The connector also tracks the state of
the network so you can send query requests to the connector and it'll tell
you what state a device is in (but the usual limitations of X10 apply - any
local control of a module will not be registered).

This version is in test now and should be released shortly.

Edward

I tried it again today aftern knowing that I should see someting else. It
fired up with traffic appearing. Cannot explain why it did not work the
first time. Same question on the schema syntax for an x10 command such as
D13+14 ON to turn on 2 x10 devices with an efficient use of the X10
powerline.
