RE: Display types

Just to confuse the matter I saw somewhere that someone had fonts on their
display device. The number of lines and characters per line depended on the
font selected. This does not apply to the device I am building but it does
present an interesting challenge.

The co-ordinate based idea is potentially tricky as well. My display could
understand the 1 to 128 and 1 to 64 of its native resolution. Understanding
another devices numbers would not be practical I guess. This would leave a
hole in the idea of a display being able to eavesdrop on the network
traffic.

If we start getting too deep into graphic displays there is then the
circles, boxes, lines etc. stuff that someone might want supporting.
Anything aimed at a PC could be very powerful too. Way over the
capabilities
of a poor little embedded device.

Just ideas - no judgements.

Ian
