Also - just to mention we need some form of 'trigger' within the incoming
serial handling, to know when to send the xAP message - a look for
terminator "whatever" type thing eg <CR> or
<CR><LF> and also the abilty to
send when n chars are received or when there is a pause of N ms in the
incoming data.
