Re: XAP integrated into web page

That does look like what I am interested in doing. I do, however
require documentation. My programming skills are pretty much limited to
html and basic java (not the compiling kind). I don't mind learning new
things and following directions to get things going, but I have thus far
found xAP applications to be conspicuously "techy".

I'm hoping that I have the premise of xAP correct. My understanding is:
- a plugin sends a message to a xappable device (in my case, a 1-wire
thermostat)
- the plugin is returned a value (in my case a string that defines the
device serial, and temperature - I believe in binary)
- xap (through the hub) assigns that returned value a name and broadcasts
it throughout the network

If my understanding is correct, I am just looking for a way to read that
value in a web page that I can customize (maybe through a java
subroutine?), but I don't know how to call it, or even what it's name is.
I guess I am looking for something a little more turnkey (or a VERY simple
sample code that I can learn from and emulate).

Am I walking into something that's more hardcore than I can handle, or is
there hope for an aged newbie?

Thank you again, Chad
