Min Touch Screen module

Hi All,

I have been looking at some way of installing small dedicated touch screen
units around my apartment for various control purposes and because I have
control of Homeseer via xAP I have designed the following after coming
across small 2.4" touch panels for the 128x64 LCD displays.

I have used the displays already and they are very bright and clear and
come
in either green or blue backlight.

I have developed a small PCB that fits on the rear of the LCD and connects
the data lines and has a small 4 way connector for the touch panel. At
present I have not yet had the board made up and I wanted to post here and
see if you had any thoughts on it or any ideas to add to it, but bear in
mind the small size and what can fit on there.

At present I have an Atmel Micro and a Zigbee module on there. I have
included a relay as I had thought about it controlling a simple contact
closure on local external devices for switching on and off. As the LCD is
programmable, it can be made to control or display any information and
respond the touch.!

If you have time, I would appreciate if you could download the PDF and have
a quick look and see if you could improve on what I have? The PDF has 3D
views of the PCB with some information about. At present there is little
code for it other than what I have from previous products. It should
interface nicely to the xAP to Zigbee module I developed previously.

Cheers,

Dave...
