Hi,

I've had one of these too, but got mine from e-bay before maplins had
them.

As had problems with the supplied software recording data and reseting.
but i was runnng it on Win2k3 64bit. however now that i have it
running on XP in vmware it has been stable for several weeks.

All i do with it at the moment is have a perl script that stops the
software and reads data from the file and stores it in mysql. then it
restarts the software.

This means i have live view from the software and upto 15min out of
date data in the database.

Using floorplan i can poke the database to decied if the garden
wattering system need to run.

Getting up on the roof was not much fun. But having asked a local
aerial man if he would help for cash, there was nothing left but for
me to do it.

I dont have a ladder which extends above the guttering to enable you
to climb onto the roof. So what i did was take the ladder onto the
attached garage and climb up from there. I did secure the ladder to
the side of the house.

I used an angle grinder to cut away the old TV aerial and fitted the
sensors into the top of the remaining pole.

Whilst on the roof i did take some pictures which i have put here...
