Yes, it's still happening with 0.5

(I got teh <br/> stuff working now which is cool, nicely formatted IM
messa=
ges now!)

I set xml=3Dyes and triggered some messages but don't seem to have any
file=
"xmldebug" in the app directory, or anywhere else for that
matter??

Do you still get this happening with Jabber 0.5
The internals are completely different than the older jabbers so hopefull=
y this has helped ( fingers crossed)

Also from my last mail, yep ment to say <BR/> doh!. Tested a
message.disp=
lay and I was getting the message lines separated by <BR/> so it
should be =
working. This is a 0.5 thing again as the older jabber didn't really do
the=
marked up messages.
If the duplicates still occur can you set xml=3Dyes and trigger the dupli=
cates. It will make a file called xmldebug in the app directory. Could
you=
send me a copy offlist. (You'll want to check and strip the logon strings =
and addresses first though)

Don't think it's a hub thing as there's no other problems with other xA=
P applications on the same machine.....

Actually, I'm not sure it's anything to do with xAP Four, I think it's =
all down to xAP Jabber, as if I use the following from within FloorPlan:

tmp=3D"message.send" & chr(10)
tmp=3Dtmp & "{" & chr(10)
tmp=3Dtmp & "to=3Dsomechimp@xxxxxxx" & chr(10)
tmp=3Dtmp & "body=3DEnvironment: <Info> Garage Temperature:
" & GarageL=
evel & " deg C. RackTop Temperature: " & RackTopLevel
& " deg C. RackBottom=
Temperature: " & RackBottomLevel & " deg C. Outside
Temperature: " & Outsi=
deLevel & " deg C." & chr(10)
tmp=3Dtmp & "}" & chr(10)
xap.sendxap tmp,"messenger.cmd"

I get multiple copies of the message sent over IM....

Very weird......

Similar problem from december 2006. Here's James reply back then:-

I'm guessing this is a hub thing, on the pc running jabber. It see=
ms like it's doubling messages, so when it receives a message from news it
=
gets two copies and when jabber talks to four the messages get doubled,
the=
n the replies get doubled hence the 4 responses.
This usually happens when the pc has multiple network cards. Also a=
network card is not just an ethernet one. digital TV cards, firewire cards=
, bluetooth dongles all count! Fix is easy though. In the hub's config
fil=
e add this line

address to that of the NIC you want to bind to.
