We are talking xAPIntranet ocx now I think,

The answer is you use what you want, but you must remember that
although you are only aimimg to handle a few messages, you must ensure
that the messages you are not handling, or the messages you are
handling but which do not fit what you are expecting, do not crash your
program

I dont know what schema you are implementing, but  if you are not
implementing it fully, then you should be clear in your own mind why not
