Can you confirm that you are running mh from the latest svn trunk or
stable branch (2-104)? If not, then you need to if you want mh to be
compatible w/ xAP Speech.
FWIW: I've been running this very combination w/ xAP Speech (as a
service) and mh on a *nix box for some time.

You should at least see heartbeats from xAP Speech.
