Hi all - and news of xAP support within another commercial HA
application.

I am looking for beta testers for a xAP plugin for HouseBot by
CeBotics . It has been written by Edward P. and works with xAP BSC
devices and , as ever, appears really good. It's a two way
integration, BSC devices are discovered and tracked/controlled within
the application and HouseBot internal properties from inbuilt devices
exported as BSC back to xAP land . Hopefully this beta will go final
in a few weeks.

If you aren't already a HouseBot user (it used to be part of
Meedio) then it's an affordable HA controller application interesting
for a number of reasons - but one inparticular. It runs as a server and
allows you to create multiple remote touchscreens that run either as
standalone PC applications or on Pocket PC type devices (WinCE/mobile
based). You can use it from other clients too if they support RDP
(remote desktop) - like the Linux based Nokia 800 (770?) for example.
These remote screens operate really fast with realtime updates,
graphics, text and slider type controls. . It's really one of the first
applications that I've seen that operates similarly to Crestron and AMX
systems in this way. If you're interested in realtime Pocket PC control
of your HA system or PC based touchscreens then it's well worth a look.
There's a free 30 day trial on the website, which has screenshots etc ,
and possibly a 'xAP' special pricing TBA . (RRP is under £35)

Contact me if you're interested in the beta...

Cheers Kevin
