Re: HELP! Getting started with CID

xAPTel sends the usual AT commands to an attached modem to dial and
these tend to be fairly standard across all modems so just about
anything should work. The incoming CID enabling and the format that the
modem presents the data in varies from manufacturer to manufacturer (and
Telco to Telco) which is why that bit is more awkward and not currently
included. TAPI is the nice way around this but I haven't managed to
track down a free TAPI OCX to include in xAPTel. As so few people have
asked it just wasn't appropriate for me to licence one either,
particularly as I don't use a modem. I do understand that the * xAP
conduit integrates well with xAP Switchboard though - when you get it
running.
