FYI, the dependencies don't take effect until a reboot. So do as you
say, but install all of your xAP service apps after you have a working
hub (check with viewer...) then set the dependencies, then reboot again.

Ok, thanks everyone. Looks like I need to do some more testing tonight.
I'll uninstall all the xAP software and then reinstall JUST the huib,
reboot, and run up the other xAP apps manually - that should work
shouldn't it.
Then I'll make use of Glenn's service dependency manager - cool :)
Thanks very much for everyone's help.
Cheers,
Jon

Hi everyone,
=20
Probably didn't make myself very clear last time but basically I'd like
to know which xAP hub people recommend for use on windows?
=20
I've tried Stuarts xAP hub as a service and it just doesn't work on my
machines (they all have two NIC's although the 2nd NIC is disabled in
all cases). The GUI version works most of the time but even that doesn't
work 100%. When they don't work they fire up fine but just don't seem to
pick up messages.
=20
[I do have a project I'm very slowly writing up which is a Java xAP
program to decode Caller ID from an old BT CD50 box - it runs on a TINI
but could equally run on a PC.]

Cheers,
Jon

Hi all,

At the moment, on all my machines, I have to fire up Stuart's xAP Hub

three XP machines. Does anyone know of another xAP service hub? Or why
it doesn't work?

Thanks,
