i'm using messenger live beta at work and 7.5 on the server.

I could use skype i guess, i use that as well... are there docs on how to
configure this to work?

xAP switchboard uses xAPTel as it's interface to IM services, it would
need support in both of these applications to achieve this. One of the
problems is that of recent releases Microsoft / MSN Messenger has locked
out easy integration with external applications , this was supposedly to
avoid IM Spam and virus attacks.   Although earlier versions are
supportable , and I believe Windows Messenger too I doubt it would be
possible to support MicroSoft Messenger beyond v5.  I think the current
version is around v7.5 (?) That was part of the reason for Skype support.

What version are you using ?
