Hello all,

I'm planning to implement an home temperature logging system using xap
as a communications protocol and would appreciate some confirmation that
xap is the protocol to use.

The rough system architecture is:

2 Dallas TINI with ibutton one-wire temperature sensors for temperature
and humidity data collection.
1 Laptop running linux for display and logging of room temperatures,
outside temperature and bathroom humidity.
xap to allow the whole lot to communicate.

I envisage the 2 tinis reading temperatures from the maximum 5 ibutton
devices connected to each of them, then sending the data from each
sensor around the network. The laptop would then receive the
temperature data and log it to file, plus do visualisation etc.

Does anyone have xap running in java on a TINI?
The wiki isn't that clear whether java support is complete yet.

Thanks,

Simon
