Edward

A few weeks ago I queried the Slimserver plugin crashing at/after
displaying messages. Well I spent a bit of time looking at this ang
logging messages to see what was happening.

One thing I did notice was that my setup was sending duplicate
messages a short interval (<1 sec) apart around the system. I'd done
this a while back as the xLobby plugin didn't reliably seem to pick up
messages (i.e. seemed to sometimes miss one). Anyway, I took out this
duplication and things seem to have stabilised a lot - to the extent
that I don't think it's crashed since.

Consequently, I think there was a problem but this may be in message
queueing or something like that. When messages don't 'clash' there
seems to be no problem.

Perhaps this was why the issue was 'occasional' and was being
exacerbated by my setup.

I hope this is of help.

Regards

Richard
