The .csv file is intended for a once only, get you going, import. I thought
that people would find the xml too intimidating so gave the option of
manually editing the .csv file and importing it (via the GUI). But looks
like you are all set.

FYI - currently in beta test is a version with the following
enhancements/fixes:

1) corrects a bug in the parsing of the ID field where decimal and hex are
getting mixed up. For now, keep to ID's in the range 01 to 09. (needs you
to
have less than 9 devices!)
2) fixes the UI so that the ID field is two hex digits (it'll always be
decimal 1-255 in the xml file)
3) fixes the UI so that the device type field is a drop-down (Binary,
Lighting, Dimmer, ProDimmer)

This will be available as a patch dll within a week.

I can't seem to find my own documentation right now. Very annoying. I
remember writing it, but it's not on my website, or anywhere else I've
looked so far. Should be a Word file with screenshots of the config GUI and
descriptions of all the fields. Anybody out there got one?

I've got is working now, but found that the population of the
X10Devices.csv
file does not lead to population of the X10Devices.xml file - is this
correct? How would you normally configure the GUI to create the required
config files? I've actually created the xml file directly to get around
this.

The config is done using the application GUI. This is only present in the
GUI version of the application, so start with that one. If you need to run
the command line or service version then copy the settings files across
from
the GUI version. The devices.xml file is used to persist these settings but
is not intended to be edited manually.

Thanks. Is there any documentation for this app, specifically around
the use of the X10Devices.xml file?
