Hmm curious - maybe there is a model of the Meteor that does not support
DTMF detection for outgoing calls. Is this an older Meteor ?

You could tell via opening a Hyperterminal session at 2400baud 8bits
noparity 1stop  no flow control to the COM port the Meteor is connected
too. (quit xAPTel first of course) Now when you lift the tel handset you
should see

ON-LINE

and when you dial a digit you should see the digit displayed..

replacing the handset will show OFF-LINE

If you see the first ON-LINE message but not the digits then I'm afraid
your Meteor is not reporting the outgoing dialled digits
