A generic Rules Matching engine would be great in my mind... one that
allows you to create new ones on the fly, from nothing... everything
I've done has been for a specific purpose, but I've thought of ways to
do this in the past... just not ambitious enough to try it yet...

Hi Glenn,

Thank you for your suggestions.
xPLHal - been there, done that, don't intend doing it again!

I think the xAP Framework.net is the way to go - I had a quick peek at
the source and it looks truly fantastic.
(One of the reasons I pushed to learn C#/.NET at work!!!)
Was just asking to make sure I wouldn't be reinventing the wheel ;o)

Many thanks,
Andy.

In that specific case:
xAP Switchboard...

But in general, either roll you own (xAP Framework.net makes it
REAL easy to do, if you are familiar with VB or C# at all) or use
something that has a rules engine. xAP Desktop and xAP Floorplan come
to mind, as does xplHAL, as it also speaks xAP.

Hi all,
=09
Apologies if this is a trivial question but I'm still fairly new
to all things xAP ;o)
=09
Say I have an incoming call which generates a corresponding
caller id xAP message.
What's the quickest/easiest process of transforming this message
into an OSD message so it can be displayed by the appropriate devices
(e.g. Tivo, Slimp3 etc.)...?
=09
Many thanks,
Andy.
