Another thing I note...

The main display window is left showing "Sending <feed
name>..." after
it has sent the last one. The transmit interval is large enough for
multiple h/b's to be sent before the next batch of messages.

Maybe showing "Waiting..." after it completes its send phase
would be
handy?

Also, would it perhaps be possible to stagger the transmission of news
feed data, perhaps waiting a random amount between each news feed?

So say the interval is 1200s, it could either divide up that period by
the number of feeds it is sending or send in a random amount of time,
spread across the entire period. Keeps things coming out, but not all
at once in a big flood.
