SIP service for Comfort alarm / SOHO use?

Hey chaps... since my latest ISP upgrade a few months ago (to 300MB fibre)
=
I finally decided not to pay them the extra charge for POTS presentation
as=
I figured I can make do with mobiles, messaging apps, and my employers SfB=
etc... and for the most part that's true.

However my Comfort alarm also made use of the analog phone line to dial
out=
in alarm events, and whilst I have GSM backup in the alarm panel for that,=
it uses a PAYG SIM card, which I seem to always have no credit on, so I'm =
considering reinstating an analog phone line just for Comfort (initially,
I=
may expand its use later).

I can source a cheap 1-line ATA no problem, or even consider upgrading my
r=
outer to a Draytek Vigor BX2000 (which might be overkill), but the tricky
=
choice is what VOIP provider to use to provide the SIP trunk...

I believe there are 'free' SIP providers... for example: https://www.lifewi=
re.com/free-sip-providers-3426672 however, I'm doubtful that any so called
=
free service will offer the features I need, - primarily PSTN calls, but I
=
may like to have a few other bells & whistles such as multiple,
geo-located=
phone numbers etc... (could be handy for me to have a UK number as well as=
a Norwegian number)...

Do any of you chaps use, or have first hand experience of any SIP
providers=
that you'd be happy to recommend - like I said, I'm not anticipating findi=
ng a free account, but I'd like to keep the subs reasonable, otherwise I
co=
uld just go back down the ISP provided route... Being an ISP their add-on
c=
harges for an analog phone port was, to my mind, a bit steep, so I reckon
I=
can DIY it for less, plus it also makes my phone service independent of th=
e ISP, so I can change ISP again in the future if I want to, without
ballsi=
ng up my phone numbers, or interrupting the service...

Cheers!

P.
