UK Launch for Homey Smart Home Hub With Z-Wave, ZigBee, WiFi, BLE, IR, 433 & 868 MHz

Last week saw the introduction of a brand new smart home hub to the UK
market

Dutch start up Athom successfully launched Homey on Kickstarter in
2015, more than doubling their funding target for the project.

The 12cm diameter sphere contains a 1 GHz ARM CPU with 512MB RAM and
4GB flash storage. Athom say all your data is stored locally, and is
not shared with them or any 3rd party.

The radios inside can control a vast array of smart home equipment
including those using Z-Wave, ZigBee, Bluetooth, WiFi plus 433 MHz and
868 MHz system too...
