Garage Door Conversion

Hi All,
Our current home improvement project is to convert our two up and over
garage doors into a single rollup door. A few hours on the internet has
identified no shortage of suppliers. Does anyone have any experience in
this space? Any tips or pitfalls to avoid?
For an automation angle I am after a system that will be as future proof as
possible and allow integration into other devices to avoid having to
purchase and maintain lots of garage door remotes for all the family.
